About the services
The formats presented are intended for companies, training providers and event organisers. The contracting party for commissioned services is Prof. Dr. Markus Schmid. The services comprise specialist talks, seminars and workshops, as well as scientific advisory services for packaging optimisation. These include the packaging review with a site visit, scientific assessment and recommendations. Research collaborations and research services are discussed through my principal role at the university or the SPI.

Scope of services and separation from my principal employment
The services presented on this website are offered through my freelance activity under Food Innovations, undertaken alongside my principal employment. I provide them under my own responsibility and on my own account. The university and research roles mentioned explain my professional background; neither the university nor the SPI is the provider or contracting party for these services.
The services are limited exclusively to scientific activities and speaking engagements personally delivered within the meaning of section 63(1), point 3 of the Baden-Württemberg Civil Service Act (Landesbeamtengesetz, LBG). These include the specialist talks, seminars and workshops described here, as well as scientific advisory services for packaging optimisation. Services outside this scope that require prior authorisation are not offered.
I notify my administrative superior of each intended remunerated secondary activity in good time before it begins, in accordance with the applicable notification requirements (section 63(2) LBG).
I would be happy to discuss research collaborations and research services in my principal role at Albstadt-Sigmaringen University. Such services are not offered through Food Innovations. Information and contact details are available from the Sustainable Packaging Institute SPI ↗.
